Idols had to be tangible and imposing, long after magical amulets had lost their punch, there had to have been a large group of the population involved in designing, producing, and deploying massive these massive artifacts. It is certain that there were many logistical problems on the way. This muse peeks at some of the moments before all the glory is harvested, moments in fact that may never have led to the harvest of any glory.
For context, there is/was some ancient ceramic, depicted below I tried to get it represented monolithically and in granite. This was the jumping off point of the muse.

One funny thing, a given image model seems never to have seen the word ‘Auroch’ (a prehistoric giant bovine). It decided that I must mean ‘a rock’ and depicted the workers earnestly (and futilely) trying to move a great block of granite.

Things not going according to plan?
Had they agile testing teams at the time? Had they non-functional requirements?
Who had this great idea?

This is what we do?

How far we have come
